Position Summary:
The Administrative Specialist II works under general supervision and is responsible for examining and verifying documents, preparing routine correspondence, and maintaining files. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy
Duties & Responsibilities:
- This position is part of the Business Office and provides administrative support for Football and Strength and other areas as needed and reports to the Associate Director of Finance and Operations for Intercollegiate Athletics
- Provide administrative support to Head Football Coach, Assistant Football Coaches as well as Strength and Conditioning Staff
- Type and proofread various documents including letters, memoranda, reports, forms, narratives, and training materials
- Open, sort, and distribute mail
- Maintain various computerized and paper files, records and logs, and retrieves information upon request
- Schedule appointments, make travel arrangements, and maintain calendars for supervisor and staff
- Inventory and order supplies
- Post entries to ledgers and journals to account for expenditures or receipts
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of record keeping procedures, basic arithmetic, basic grammar, and computers and software applications
Ability to conduct research and compile data into report form, establish and maintain filing systems, operate standard office equipment, analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures, and communicate both orally and in writing
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a High School Diploma
Two (2) years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed
Other job related Education and/or Experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval or the qualifications review committee
