Job Duties

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

• Serve as lead liaison and EWU Contract Manager of department-wide apparel, uniform, accessory and footwear contract (currently Adidas).
• Oversee all orders by serving as primary point-of-contact with Vendor Contract Manager.
• Advise Athletics Business office about payment of all invoices from vendor and subsidiaries, ensuring all discounts have been applied; track contract incentives and notify vendor of any discrepancies.
• Ensure department is in compliance with EWU responsibilities and work with Marketing Department in adherence to benefits stipulated to provider as set forth in the contract.
• Work with Business Office and Purchasing Department and provide insight during RFP process and, ultimately, the awarding of bid to vendor when applicable.

EQUIPMENT ROOM MANAGEMENT

• Work with coaching staffs and athletic department senior staff in the preparation of requests for uniforms and equipment to be used in both practice and athletic contests.
• Maintain a complete computerized inventory of apparel and equipment by sport and department for all items purchased through the state athletics budget; make recommendations and institute efficiencies when possible.
• Responsible for the efficient and adequate organization of equipment room and the proper documentation and tracking of assets.
• Prepare requisitions and/or work with the Athletics Business Manager in the processing of purchase orders.
• Liaise with staff members on the ordering and sizing of specialized items such as, but not limited to, letterman’s jackets and championship.
• Travel with football team on road trips & coordinate movement of team equipment with truck driver(s), airlines and/or charter air companies when applicable. | | Essential Function Indicator | Yes |

DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT

• Supervise one full-time employee and numerous student workers and/or volunteers to ensure the proper support of athletic programs.
• Serve as budget manager and work with Athletics Business Office on ensuring financial stability of equipment room.
• Provide orientation, training and periodic evaluation of assigned employees.
• Complete administrative reports, time-sheets, issue and turn-in records, safety inspections and other administrative requirements assigned.
