This position assists the head coach in the following primary responsibilities:

• Recruitment of prospective student athletes.
• Coaching, mentoring, and retaining student athletes.
• In-season practice and game planning.
• Out of season conditioning.
• Compliance with NCAA Division II, GLVC, and University rules and regulations.
• Team travel arrangements.
• Filming.
• Grant-in-aid recommendations.
• Academic integrity.
• Alumni, community, and media relations.
• Fundraising.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to recruit and retain quality softball student athletes.
• Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules.
• Commitment to academic success and student athlete well-being.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree.
• Collegiate softball coaching and/or experience playing in a successful softball program.
• Collegiate recruiting experience.
