Expired Date: Jul 30, 2024The Assistant Director of Communications will work directly with the Director of Communications to execute communications efforts for The Rams Club. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director to deliver outstanding communications collateral for teams and colleagues within the organization to maximize fundraising on behalf of Carolina Athletics.
This position is an exempt, 40 hour per week position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Assist team leaders and colleagues (especially with the Annual Fund, Major Gifts/Revenue, and Member Services Teams) to deliver on strategic communication plans for various campaigns, initiatives, and projects.
Monitor internal communications efforts to keep staff informed of initiatives, projects, and other organizational efforts; use task/project management software (Asana) to track project deadlines and completion.

OTHER DUTIES
Engage and act in the best interest of The Rams Club by aligning with strategic goals, departmental objectives, and communications best practices.
Participate and assist as needed with Rams Club special events and gameday activities.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications.
Proven written, design, and verbal communication skills.
High level of energy, creativity, and strong drive to be successful in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Positive attitude, and an energetic approach to problem-solving with a willingness to go above prescribed responsibilities.
Ability to exercise effective judgement, sensitivity, confidentiality, and creativity to changing needs and situations.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and to prioritize work tasks.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work weekends and evenings in conjunction with UNC athletics events and Rams Club functions.
Must be able to drive.
Four-year degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
1-3 years of demonstrated successful experience in a communications-based field.
Familiarity with college athletics and fundraising preferred.
