Position Summary
Oversee the planning and implementation of varsity sporting events for the UGA Athletic Association and various SEC and NCAA Championship events hosted on campus and serve as operations and construction manager for select facilities.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Effective computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, customers, and the general public. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
Stand; walk; use hands and reach with arms. Sit and talk or hear. Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Close and distance vision, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions. Driving large passenger vehicles as needed to perform job tasks.

Manage all operations surrounding various varsity athletic events.

Coordinate event and facility plans with ticket personnel, athletic trainers, facility and promotions staff, sports communication, and digital production personnel.

Facility Operations Specific:Serve as Taraflex court coordinator, including hiring and training staff to convert the basketball court to the volleyball court. Oversee visitor parking at the Butts-Mehre Building and manage towing contract on behalf of Athletic Association. Manage all operations surrounding pedestal ticket scanners at all ticketed events at Sanford Stadium; Stegeman Coliseum and Foley Field.
