What We Are Looking For
This position provides support within learning support services at Baylor University, is responsible for providing academic guidance, developing personalized learning strategies, and fostering skills such as time management, organization, and effective study techniques for qualifying student-athletes. The ability to interact with a wide range of constituents including student-athletes, coaches and athletics staff, faculty, and campus partners is essential. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working with students with learning disabilities from diverse backgrounds.
A Bachelor's Degree, two years of relevant experience, and a Christian faith are required. A Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience are preferred.
_ Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. _

What You Will Do
- Caseload Support:Meet one-on-one with a caseload of student-athletes to work on developing study and organizational skills. Create individualized learning plans for students and assess their academic progress. Produce detailed and accurate daily session reports.
- Learning Support Programming: Explore current educational trends for students with learning concerns. Help develop and implement academic programming for select group of student-athletes.
- Assistant Learning Specialist Supervision:Oversee the management and professional development of the Assistant Learning Specialist. Including weekly one-on-one meetings and participating in programming for the Assistant Development Program when needed.
- Other Duties:Assist in requiring all intercollegiate athletic programs to maintain compliance with Baylor University policies and procedures, as well as Big 12 Conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Communicate immediately any possible NCAA infractions to the Athletic Compliance staff.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
- Ability to comply with University policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
