JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a NCAA Division I and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Director of Operations, Performance Nutrition. This position will primarily be responsible for fueling station management and day-to-day fueling around training. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: lead oversight of our main full-service fueling stations (i.e., Rec Hall, East Area Locker Room, and Lasch Football Building) and locker room fuel areas, all aspects of fuel station purchasing and budgeting, inventory and stocking; meal ordering, receiving and execution; training table; student-intern management and supervision, education, on/off the field fueling, and communication (student-athletes, support staff/coaches, business office, as well as food and supplement vendors).

Typically requires a Associate's or higher plus 2 years of experience. Preferred experience: in Nutrition, Food Service, Sport Management; management, supervisory or customer service experience; ability and willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; proficient in record keeping, financial management, documentation and event planning; understanding and adherence to NCAA and Big Ten regulations as well as Penn State policies and procedures. Skills: Strong interpersonal, time and priority management, communication and organization skill; ability to handle a fast-paced, intensive work environment; excellent communication skills; ability to work as a team; ability to prioritize and multi-task; ability to perform body composition testing; ability to lift greater than 20 pounds and perform other physical labor tasks (pushing, pulling, stocking, loading etc.) with or without accommodation; ability to operate a motor vehicle; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems alone and in group settings; ability to work independently and collaboratively; proficient in computing.

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position also requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver`s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard.
