Position Summary:

The Assistant Director of Athletic Performance reports to the Director of Athletic Performance

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Creating, implementing, and administering a comprehensive basketball strength and conditioning program and other Olympic sports as assigned
• Assists with the daily operation of the weight training facility
• Schedules maintenance and purchase of equipment
• Administrative duties as assigned
• Assist with the football program
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of University, Sun Belt Conference and NCAA rules and procedures

Proficiency in written and oral communication

Interact with a diverse set of coaches and support staff, as well as the business community

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional Hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

The Director of Strength and Conditioning has contact with student-athletes, coaches, athletics personnel as well as institutional administrative personnel

Travel to conferences and professional development sessions

Preferred Qualifications:
Three (3) years experience as a strength and conditioning coach at the college level

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Bachelor's Degree in exercise science or a related field

SCCC or CSCS Certified
