| Position Summary |
Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director of The Georgia Way, the Assistant Director of Student Development will hold the major responsibility for alumni relations and overseeing daily student-athlete career development interactivity and educational programming. The Assistant Director will also be tasked with overseeing resume development and career advising, as well as aiding in internship and employment placement. Additionally, this position will direct communications including blogs, newsletters, and social media to execute a strategic marketing plan for The Georgia Way.

| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Proven successful experience building relationships, networking, and creating and implementing strategic plans.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Student development, career services, and/or mentorship program experience. Specifically, experience providing comprehensive advising and career counseling related to career exploration and job-related skill development.
- Ability to read and write business correspondence and to communicate proficiently with individuals within and outside the University by telephone and email.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to interact with individuals at all levels.

Create a comprehensive plan for Athletics alumni relations that results in greater participation and connection from former student-athletes. Develop plan to steward and build long lasting relationships with current student-athletes. Create programs to honor former student-athletes and letter-winners. Serve as a liaison between The Georgia Way and team coaching staffs with the coordination and planning of sport reunions, special events, and activities.

Initiate, coordinate, and implement Student-Athlete Career Services in conjunction with the Assistant Athletic Director of The Georgia Way.
- Provide comprehensive advising and personal counseling related to career exploration, career changing, job-related skill development, graduate school, and employment needs for the student-athlete population.
- Responsible for assigning and tracking Career Development Assessments in accordance with the Career Development Curriculum. Communicate with student-athletes, counselors, coaches, and support staff about the progress and interpretation of assessments to guide educational curriculum and career trajectory. | | Percentage of time | 30 |

Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for The Georgia Way and career development program for current and former student-athletes through various forms platforms, including but not limited to The Georgia Way Network and The Georgia Way website, blogs, and social media platforms.
