Essential Duties

• Assists with receiving, inventorying, check-out, collection and maintenance of equipment for multiple, assigned sports programs.
• Maintains an accurate inventory of team equipment and initiates requests for replenishment of stock items.
• Assists in all phases of purchasing athletic equipment and apparel for multiple, assigned sports programs.
• Assists with the fitting of uniforms and equipment for the football team.
• Assists in equipment setup for events in the Student Athlete Facility (SAF) and Mountain America Stadium.
• Assists with equipment operations and supervision of equipment student workers annually at Camp Tontozona.
• Assists in equipment packing and preparation for home athletic contests for multiple, assigned sports programs.
• Assists in coordinating laundry services following all practices, games, and workouts for multiple, assigned sports programs.
• Assists in leading student employee staff.
• As assigned, meets with sales representatives regarding new and existing products, ensuring that the needs of the student athletes, coaches, and other athletic department personnel are met.
• Develops and maintains positive communication and effective working relationships with coaches, players and other personnel.
• Follows departmental policies and procedures.
• Adheres to NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field AND 2 years’ experience in athletic equipment management; OR, six years’ experience in athletic equipment management; OR, an equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been received.

Desired Qualifications

• Evidence of a minimum of 2 years experience with Adidas ordering system or comparable athletic apparel ordering system.
• Evidence of a minimum of 2 years experience with Equipcheck inventory system.
• Evidence of a minimum of 2 years experience with FrontRush inventory system.
• Evidence of supervisory experience.
• Experience in determining appropriate fit of athletic clothing, accessories and equipment.
• Evidence of a valid driver’s license.
• AEMA Certification REQUIRED.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Experience in decision-making, conflict resolution and organization.
• Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sports equipment and facility needs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of equipment maintenance and application.
• Demonstrated knowledge in working commercial washers and dryers.

Working Environment

• Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 30 pounds.
• Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
• Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
• Work activities include exposure to a variety of external climates.
• Travels with teams as approved by Supervisor.
• Schedule varies to include weekends, nights, early mornings and/or holidays.
• Regular use of commercial-grade washers, dryers and heat press machines.
• Regular use of pick-up truck, gators, and other motor vehicles to coordinate practice and daily operations of the equipment.
• Receives general supervision from the Head Football Equipment Coordinator.
• Assist in the supervision of 3-5 student workers.
