Summary of Position
The Athletic Department at Keene State College is seeking applications for an Assistant Esports Coach. This is a part-time, non-benefited position with appointment dates from mid-August to mid-June.Reporting to the Head Coach for Esports, the succesful candidate will assist with the administration and organization of this inagural program.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting in the development of players’ skills, strategies, and teamwork in Valorant; collaborating with the head coach to plan and conduct two team practices each week; analyzing gameplay footage to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback to players, as well as prepare for competition outside of practice; developing and implementing effective strategies for multiple in-game situations; providing emotional and strategic support to players, fostering a positive and competitive team culture; maintaining open and effective communication with players, coaching staff, and college administration via Email, Phone and Discord server; mandatory presence, remotely or physically, for two team practices each week, as well as weekly competitions against other collegiate institutions within NACE Starleague; represent Keene State College to the highest degree, both online and in-person, and maintain professionalism in all interactions with Keene State College students, staff and families as well as those from competing institutions.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; must be 18 years of age or older; demonstrated history of success in Valorant, in matchmaking or organized play; understanding of the Collegiate Esports industry and NACE Starleague.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or higher; 1+ years of Valorant, or general Esports coaching experience; active on social media such as X (formerly Twitter) and/or Twitch (or comparable content creaton website.) Additionally, the College has identified desirable qualifications that support our commitment to creating and maintaining a diverse campus community including the ability to speak a second language or to bring a multicultural perspective to the campus.
