Position Summary

Under general supervision of the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the Assistant General Manager, Recruiting & Personnel for the Women’s Basketball program is a strategic leader responsible for managing key areas of modern roster building, including NIL strategy, transfer portal operations, player contracts (NIL deals), and agent relations. This role serves as a bridge between the coaching staff, student-athletes, external partners (agents, collectives, brands), and the university’s compliance and branding arms. The Assistant General Manager, Recruiting & Personnel will support all aspects of roster management, player development, and brand growth to ensure the program remains competitive both on the court and in the NIL marketplace.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two to five years of recruiting experience as a college coach, scout, or recruiting coordinator. (Required)
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment and to handle sensitive and confidential information/material with discretion. (Required)
    • Ability to interact diplomatically with individuals of various social, economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds. (Required)
    • Superior public relations skills, including outstanding interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships and correspondence with staff, faculty, media, recruits, visiting coaches, donors, parents and Conference and NCAA officials. (Required)
    • Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple constituents – understanding how to bring interconnected pieces together and optimize workflows, commonly working across multiple support units at various levels within the department. (Required)
    • Ability to plan and prioritize assignments and work independently to complete assignments despite various deadlines, competing requirements and changing priorities. (Required)
