Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

● Demonstrated skills in writing event previews, recaps and feature stories.● Demonstrated ability to manage large amounts of information with accuracy. ● Demonstrated computer competency and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), NCAA LiveStats statistical software, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) and other campus databases. ● Ability to take initiative in organizing programs, planning events, preparing materials and interacting effectively with members of the athletic department and the campus community.● Demonstrated experience, knowledge and ability in supervising, advising, training, and evaluating student employees, volunteers and interns. ● Effective and professional communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to write and edit, preparing all documents efficiently. ● Ability to multitask, plan, organize and execute day-to-day operations; work under deadlines and maintain a detail oriented and highly confidential approach to each task. ● Ability to prioritize and delegate the flow of work daily. ● Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience & Education:

Previous experience in a similar role within an Athletic Department or in higher education.

Required Experience & Education:

6 months - 2 years of related experience.

Salary Information:

This is a full-time, 10-month, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
