Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Director for Health, Wellness and Performance, the position conducts and monitors strength and conditioning, assists in the rehabilitation of injured athletes, and assists in the management of strength and conditioning facility.
Conducts, and monitors strength and conditioning programs for multiple sport programs. E
Assists with rehabilitation of injured athletes. E
Supports education for student-athletes about nutrition and supplementation. E
Assists with the coordinating and maintenance of weight room/strength facilities. E
Assists in scheduling weight room training for the various athletic programs. E
Performs other duties as assigned.

The care and prevention of athletic injuries, basic sports injury first aid and emergency procedures
Principles of sports training
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of strength and conditioning equipment
Coordinate various Division
III
athletic operations including camps, special events.
Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with University,
NCAA
, and
SCIAC
rules and regulations.
Work within a team-oriented philosophy.
Lift moderately heavy equipment and materials.
Provide a safe environment for students, athletes, visitors and other constituents.
Communicate effectively, in oral and written forms
Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, guardians, colleagues, administrators, booster groups, foundations, and community organizations
Any combination equivalent to: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and intern experience in a fitness center environment.
Master’s Degree
National Strength and Conditioning Certification
Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) and hear to exchange information; ability to walk, run, jump, stretch, stand, sit, bend, twist, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; climb stairs, ropes or ladders; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision; ability to demonstrate proper techniques and skills needed for athletic participation; ability to operate a vehicle to travel to various sites to conduct work; ability to maintain level of physical fitness to meet departmental standards.
Working environment includes both indoors and outdoors; exposure to various weather conditions, including temperature extremes; Indoor work environment may not be air conditioned during hot weather; subject to vehicle operation to conduct work; travel is required; frequent weekend and evening hours is required.
