Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and two years of experience in athletic fundraising, educational fundraising or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

A master’s degree is preferred.

Job Description Summary

The University of South Alabama’s Athletics department is seeking to hire a Associate Director, Athletic Development. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

| Essential Functions |
- Assists the Associate Athletic Director, Development with solicitation and coordination of donor’s to the Jaguar Fund and implements strategies to identify specific team needs. - Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards donors with an emphasis on restricted giving to include a caseload of 50-100 donors with annual giving including some major gift assistance. - Works with specific teams and coaches on engagement and solicitation strategies for special projects and needs. - Responsible for creating and distributing publications associated with restricted giving and stewardship. - Assists with the planning and implementation of the department’s fundraising priorities and advancement activities. - Manages Athletic Endowments with the assistance of campus development. - Responsible for building and helping grow the Letterwinner’s Society. - Accesses and maintains donor and prospect information via Raiser’s Edge. - Ensures compliance with University, state and federal rules and regulations. - Supervises lower level staff to include, approving time off and approving time sheets. - Regular and prompt attendance. - Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required. - Related duties as required. |
