Position Title : Associate Director of Athletic Performance for Olympic Sports

Responsibilities :
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics Department is seeking a qualified Associate Director of Athletic Performance for Olympic Sports. This position will report directly to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Athletic Performance and will work only with Olympic Sports teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-The Associate Director of Athletic Performance for Olympic Sports is responsible for assisting with the implementation and development of performance programming for assigned sports in accordance with the Athletic Performance Department and NCAA regulations.
-Meet with assigned sport coaches regularly to review and discuss any and all aspects of the strength and conditioning program.
-In collaboration with assigned sport coaches, sports medicine, and nutrition staffs, assess needs of individual student athletes of assigned sports and to then plan, develop, and implement year-long strength, speed, and conditioning programs.
-In collaboration with assigned sports coaches and other athletic performance staff coordinate and plan weight room schedule for assigned teams.
-Oversee utilization and development of GPS tracking system(s), providing information to assigned sport teams as well as provide in-service training and guidance to fellow athletic performance staff on best practices and usage of the system(s).
-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelors in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred from a regionally accredited institution.
-Certification as SCCC by Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) or CSCS by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
-Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Masters in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
-3+ years of collegiate athletic/sports performance or comparable experience (preferred).
-Experience working with Sports Science / Data Analytics / GPS tracking (preferred).
-Experience working with Men’s Basketball
-Additional Certifications in Olympic Weightlifting and/or Corrective Exercise
-Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, public relations, interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills when working with student-athletes, faculty, staff, coaches, and administration.
-Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others; commitment to working with multi-cultural populations.
-Have strong work ethic and be a person of high integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and Institutional rules as they apply to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Athletics program.
-Have a strong desire to continue to grow personally and professionally in knowledge and skill in contribution to the overall development of the Athletic Performance program.
-Ability to work extended daily hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
-Occasional travel with assigned team(s) may be required.
