The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for UNLV Athletics – Associate Director of Development

ROLE of the POSITION

The Associate Director of Development will play a vital part in a comprehensive resource development program in support of UNLV Athletics. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development & Revenue Generation, the successful candidate will be a proven advancement professional with a record of success identifying, developing, stewarding and expanding philanthropic and revenue-based relationships in an athletics-based, higher education setting.

This position will be a leadership role in a growing major gifts division within the Rebel Athletic Fund (RAF). In addition to major gift level fundraising, the position will support external engagement with the Rebel Athletic Fund annual giving program, will advance efforts to increase ticket-based revenue and sell premium seating, and will work extensively across the community of Las Vegas to expand the support base for UNLV Athletics.

This position should have a basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment. In addition, the individual will be responsible for obtaining proper guidance or approval from athletics compliance, prior to participating in select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and a minimum of one (1) year of related/comparable experience.  Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
