Athletic Trainer I - Football

Position Summary

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate injuries to determine referrals and design and execute appropriate rehabilitation exercises.
  • Educate and counsel coaching staffs, athletes, physicians co-workers, students, parents, media, and consultants.
  • Administer emergency care and makes medical referrals.
  • Organize and maintain daily medical records, including daily treatment logs and prescription drug logs using a computerized sports injury management program.
  • Coverage of home and away events.
  • Ensure that University, NCAA, federal and state policies, procedures, and/or regulations are followed.
  • Sport assignment as determined by the Director of Athletic Training.
  • Instruct and evaluate athletic training students.
  • Other duties as assigned.
