The Athletics Facilities Assistant will support the Virginia Tech Athletics Department in maintenance of turf and fields (artificial and natural), and landscape of Athletics complexes. Assist with the maintenance and setup of turf equipment as it relates to Virginia Tech facilities. Will assist with other facilities grounds and venues maintenance as necessary. This position reports directly to the Associate Director / Fields.

Required Qualifications

Mowing and landscape experience.
Working knowledge of general use and maintenance of mowers, tractors, and other landscaping equipment.
Available to work overtime hours which may be required during sports seasons.
Be able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
Commitment to diversity.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working in a Division I collegiate athletics grounds unit.
