The Event Parking Team Members serve as event hosts for our guests at all home athletic events and at special events hosted by the university. They are the first touch point for our guests, and will have a direct impact on our guests' experience at the beginning and end of each game.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare parking lots and garages for event operations (i.e. set up signs, cones, barricades).
Scan parking passes and process payment for home athletic events for football and men’s basketball.
Direct and manage traffic within the parking lots and garages.
Ahere to designated policies and procedures.
Greet each guest with a friendly smile and warm welcome. Maintain positivity throughout the full interaction.
Address issues and questions related to parking, traffic, and venue policies and information.
Demonstrate effective problem solving and quick thinking in the moment.
Troubleshoot parking devices while maintaining efficiency with ingress into the parking facilities.
Provide directional assistance for guests to each venue.
Identify and react quickly to our guests’ requests and complaints.
Learn and retain an extensive knowledge of parking and event operations and information for event venues.
Communicate with other parking team members, athletics staff, traffic management staff, and campus and contracted security personnel.
Effective and timely communication with supervisors to address and correct issues.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Work schedule varies based on event schedules and staffing needs, and may include nights, holidays, and weekends.
Required to work long hours on event days; ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Perform duties under adverse conditions such as exposure to exhaust fumes, excessive noise, working in confined area, and exposure to outdoor conditions including inclement weather (heat, cold, snow/ice, rain, wind, etc.).
Qualifications
Team members must be able to operate basic technology (i.e. parking and payment scanners, communication radios).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict attention to detail and demonstrate effective problem solving.
