Athletics Operations Assistant 24-25

Job Purpose

Assist the athletic department throughout the year with day-to-day operations and home events in all sports.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Athletics Facilities and Operations with day-to-day tasks

Assist Game Operations Staff in a variety of in-game/game preparation areas; that may include the following:

-setup and breakdown for all events – light maintenance and custodial work may be required

-running a scoreboard or clock during assigned games or as needed

-running music during games

-videoboard operation

-ticket scanner or greeter at events

-serving as a customer service representative – being prepared to answer questions and engage with fans

-assist with visiting team and officials arrivals to venues

-assist marketing and promotions staff with any special events, presentations, or initiatives

Manual labor that may include lifting objects in excess of 50lbs, working in adverse weather, and standing for long periods of time. Also nights, weekends and university holidays may be required.

Winthrop University Student; 2.75
