Job Duties:

Bucknell University Department of Athletics is seeking a Coordinator of Events & Operations. This position will have oversight of event/game operations for athletics regular season, post-season, and special events. The Coordinator works closely with internal University offices, as well as the coaching staff, student-athletes, outside groups, and spectators.

This is a 12 month, non-exempt position. This position is part of the Department of Athletics and Recreation at Bucknell University, a member of the NCAA Division I (FCS in Football) and the Patriot League for 23 of 27 varsity sports.

Reporting Relationship:

• Reports to the Assistant Director of Athletics

Work Setting/Schedule:

• Primarily on-campus

• Requires night and weekend availability
   

What You Will Do:

• Event Management

• Athletic Operations 

• Non Essential Functions -The job’s description listed responsibilities and tasks are not exhaustive. Additional non-essential tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

What You Will Bring:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum two years experience

• Ability to maintain current CPR and First Aid certification

• Must be proactive and able to work collaboratively with multiple user groups demonstrating confidence and knowledge of how events and facilities operate

• Excellent organizational & communication skills (both written and oral)
   

Preferred, But Not Required:

• # Bachelor’s Degree

• 1-2 years events and operations management; within collegiate athletics experience preferred

• Experience overseeing and scheduling interns, volunteers and casual staff 

• Knowledge of NCAA rules 
   

Physical Requirements:

• Moderate physical activity. Must be able to carry material weighing over 50 pounds; involves frequent bending, moving and lifting; standing up to eight hours each day.

•  Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as working in all weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises

18.40-23.00

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy. 

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
