Description

This position is responsible for developing a comprehensive program for the training of football student-athletes to maximize their potential for athletic performance and injury prevention; collaborating with coaches and athletic trainers to organize and design strength, power, speed, agility, and flexibility programs for football student-athletes; ensuring the safety, hygiene, and efficiency of the weight facility; supervising individual and team workouts; displaying a positive attitude, demonstrating enthusiasm, providing positive energy, and communicating effectively with football student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

Essential Job Duties

Teaching/Coaching (51%)

  • Develop a comprehensive program for the training of football student-athletes to maximize their potential for athletic performance and injury prevention;
  • Implement all comprehensive programs and provide instructions to football student-athletes;
  • In collaboration with the football coaches and athletic trainers, design and organize strength, power, speed, agility, and flexibility programs for student-athletes;
  • Supervise training sessions and teach proper lifting techniques;
  • Preform all warm-up and cool-down activities for football student-athletes at games and practices;
  • Educate football student-athletes on proper nutrition and rest and recovery;
  • Educate football student-athletes on proper physical and mental health, and monitor their progress;
