This position will serve as the primary liaison between the athletics department and external constituents, including media, the USA South Athletic Conference, the NCAA, and the campus marketing office. The successful candidate will promote Meredith’s student-athletes and coaches through a variety of digital and traditional platforms while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of statistical and historical records.

Duties:
- Manage all aspects of athletic media relations and sports information for Meredith’s varsity programs.
- Create content and manage digital promotion outlets including website, social media, and live stream production.
- Coordinate and execute game day coverage, including managing event staff, compiling live statistics, livestream production (Hudl/Production Truck), and post-event reporting.
- Produce engaging content that highlights student-athletes, coaches, and team accomplishments across website and social media platforms.
- Maintain, update, and manage the official athletic website and social channels.
- Prepare and submit timely statistical data and press releases to the USA South Conference, NCAA, and other relevant organizations.
- Design and edit athletics publications and marketing materials in collaboration with the campus Marketing Department.
- Serve as the official statistician and maintain historical data and records for all sports.
- Hire, train, supervise and schedule student workers, game day staff, and freelancers; ensure effective training and quality of event coverage.
- Manage the athletic communications budget and coordinate purchases and maintenance of communications equipment.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director on strategic communication efforts related to alumni relations, fundraising, and recruiting.
