Job Summary

The Director-University of Michigan Golf Courses is responsible for oversight, vision and direction for both University of Michigan Golf Courses (Radrick Farms and UM Blue Course). This position ensures that each course is self-sustaining and is meeting the high standards set for golf operations, course maintenance, customer service, food and beverage, budgeting and human resources. They also ensure that the UM Varsity Golf Teams needs are met with respect to their use of the courses and the Weisfeld Family Golf Center.

Responsibilities*

  • Sets the vision for University of Michigan Golf Courses in reaching goal of self-sustainability.
  • Research and implement strategies and efficiencies of operating two golf courses on one campus.
  • Supervises General Manager of Radrick Farms, General Manager of the UM Golf Course, and an Accounting Associate by giving direction, setting objectives and measuring success.
  • Guides and assists General Managers in the development of the Golf Courses long and short-range objectives, goals, policies and programs.
  • Maintains positive and productive relationships between both golf courses and its members, guests, teams, and the community.
