Department: 021321 - Facilities Management - Athletic Maintenance
Position: 00009368 - General Maintenance

This is a part-time, 6 month, non-benefit eligible position. 

Schedule: September 1st - March 31st, Saturday and Sunday, 7am - 330pm . May be asked to switch hours occasionally based on the athletic event schedule and days determined by the supervisor.

This position will provide athletics and the public with clean and safe athletic facilities/fields. Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ice maintenance, ice resurfacing, ice/arena upkeep and preparation,  artificial and natural turf maintenance, field painting according to NCAA guidelines, portable floor installation, hardwood basketball floor maintenance, game setups, clean up after games, basic landscaping, function setups, and snow removal at all athletic facilities and adjacent properties as assigned.

Requirements:

This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years experience in facilities maintenance.  A preferred candidate should have 2-3 years experience operating ice resurfacing equipment (Zamboni) and ice edger. The ability to safely operate a fork truck. The candidate would be required to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and carry long distances throughout their shift.  The person must be able to accept written and oral direction and have the ability to work alone and with a team.
