The General Manager leads and directs the clubhouse operations at Keith Hills Golf Club to include: golf operations, food and beverage, retail merchandising, grounds maintenance, and marketing. Five pillars of the position are:

developing and meeting financial goals for the facility.
developing and growing the Keith Hills brand in coordination with Campbell University.
and coordinating and collaborating with Campbell’s PGA Golf Management Program and Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leading & Empowering:
Provide a strong visionary leadership and strategic approach to management in all areas of the club.
Recruit, onboard, train, and deliver timely feedback to build and retain a staff of high performing employees.
Foster a culture of clarity, inclusion, and respect for employees, members, and guests.
Provide direction, supervision, and guidance to all levels of employees, developing and mentoring as needed.
Be a visible and “present” leader who exhibits professionalism and strong interpersonal skills in all interactions.
Engage with members and guests, including playing opportunities, with the goal of building lasting relationships.
Mentor PGA Golf Management students by engaging with them on the golf course and in potential classroom speaking opportunities.
Financial Strategies:
Develop long-range performance and financial goals through historical analysis, current market trends, and consideration of facility assets.
Monitor revenue forecasts and results on a daily, weekly, monthly basis that can be counted on for timely and accurate information for all parts of the club.
Install controls and cost-effective procedures related to employee payroll, purchases, inventories, and supplies.
Brand Growth & Marketing:
Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy and budget to include short- and long-term initiatives designed to expand the Keith Hills operation.
Build brand awareness for targeted audiences by enhancing Keith Hills’ online reputation and social media presence.
Create a system of member feedback to assure satisfactory communications between club members, general public, and employees.
Facility Operations:
Interact with all department managers to ensure cohesive and efficient facility operations.
Maintain managerial oversight for Golf Operations, Retail, Food & Beverage, and Golf Maintenance with a focus on empowering managers to lead their departments.
Institute a framework for a highly functional operations team through the development of policies and procedures, cyclical training and feedback, and generation of systemic action plans.
Ensure each department operates at the highest level of standards of fiscal performance, service, and guest experience.
Maintain knowledge and understanding of all applicable federal, state, and local laws to ensure facility compliance.
Provide daily support to the Golf Operations and Director of Golf as needed and until a fuller golf staff is sustained.
Campbell University:
Coordinate and collaborate regularly with the PGA Golf Management Program Director and the Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams’ Coach to ensure the success of these strategic priorities.
Employ students studying in the PGA Golf Management Program as needed on a part-time or full-time basis, including the potential for a PGM Graduate Assistant.
Create internship opportunities or special projects, as needed, to serve students studying in the PGA Golf Management Program.
Manage clubhouse operations to ensure priority scheduling for practice and tournaments in support of the PGA Golf Management Program and the Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams.
Ensure Keith Hills is presented at its best when hosting tournaments for the PGA Golf Management Program, the Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams, and local High School Golf Teams.
Professional Development:
Be visible in the local golf community and PGA/CMAA communities to remain knowledgeable on industry trends and grow professional networks.
Proactively initiate ways to grow professionally and continually improve.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including but not limited to Title IX, and Information Security, including but not limited to; HIPAA, FERPA and other state and federal mandates.

Education/Experience:
Education:
A BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business, golf management, or hospitality/sport management.
Master’s degree and/or industry certifications preferred.
PGA of America member and/or CMAA member required.
Experience :
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in the golf industry is preferred.
Experience in a higher education or non-profit sector desired
