The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant, Athletic Administration, Social Media, & Promotions on the Dahlonega campus. This position will assist with athletic communications and broadcasts for the Athletic Department.

Serve in a leadership role on the Nighthawk Sports Network to help enhance the department's broadcast by creating on-air content, scheduling, and assisting in set-up and production.
Assist in the historical archives (rosters, statistics, records) for all 13 intercollegiate sports.
Write and edit various communications materials, such as student-athlete bios, press releases, and/or feature stories for the department's website.
Collaborate with External Operations team to generate content ideas for various platforms such as the Nighthawk Sports Network, social media, and website.
Assist in the scheduling, training, and leading of the student work staff on game days.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications, Athletics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is recommended.
Good oral and written communication skills.

Required Qualifications

Must currently have, or will obtain by the start date a Bachelor's Degree.
Must be enrolled in a minimum of six graduate credit hours by start date.
Willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

Former NCAA athlete or experience in college athletics is preferred.
Previous experience working with video streaming, new media platform and event planning preferred.
