Graduate Assistant, Softball

ONU Softball is looking for a Graduate Assistant with prior experience of the following: Collegiate level playing experience, recruiting experience, leadership experience, coaching experience (Lessons, camps, etc). The main role of the Softball Graduate Assistant is to assist the Head Coach and other coaches in tasks such as: Recruiting, Practice planning, Season planning, being present to the players, etc. We are looking for a Graduate Assistant with passion and love for the game, as well as knowledge of the game.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Recruiting
o Available during the whole year (including summer) to recruit at local tournaments and search for the best talent
o Present at camps and visits
o Constant Communication / Navigating Recruit Sites
- Planning
o Assisting in practice planning
o Assisting in planning for games (Home and Away)
o Assisting in planning trips and other events
- Coaching
o Being able to communicate feedback and display a high IQ of the game

o Game Responsibilities: Charting, note taking, feedback, etc.
o Passionate and being present for the girls
- Hours
o Depending on time of season
o Come into office Monday-Friday

   b. Ability to be physically engaged in a practice
   c. Help create creative practice plans and workouts
5. Passion and Communicative
   a. Effectively and consistently communicate feedback to all players throughout the whole practice and game
   b. Be present for the players

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Yes, you will help supervise the student athletes on Olivet Nazarene University Softball.

EDUCATION
A bachelor's degree with collegiate playing experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The GA’s work environment includes many conditions: Office, cold days, hot days, all weather.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
Monthly stipend of $1,200.
