Job Duties
What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities:
Works directly with the Head S&C Coach – Olympic Sports to design and implement strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes for assigned sports.
Conduct regular testing of student-athletes to determine the effectiveness of the programs and provide feedback to the Head S&C Coach – Olympic Sports.
Maintain accurate records of student-athlete’s progress for student athletes, reporting progress of student-athletes to the Associate S&C Coach/Director of Football Performance and the respective head coach.
Assist with the scheduling and daily upkeep of strength & conditioning facilities.
Provide for the proper supervision of student-athletes to ensure that all student-athletes receive proper instruction on the safe usage of weight machines and free weights.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or in Last Semester of bachelor’s degree
Must be accepted into Lamar University Master’s Program (post interview process)
Currently have or working towards
CSCS
or
SCCC
Physical Requirements
Be able to move supplies or equipment over 50lbs
Certifications Required
Certification if applicable
