Position Summary

The purpose of the Graduate Assistant is to help in all phases of a successful NAIA basketball program. This position will allow you to utilize your skills on the job, and in the classroom, as you pursue your Master’s degree.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. On-floor coaching
2. Scouting report preparation
3. Travel planning
4. Recruiting
5. Social media director
6. Film analysis and uploads
7. Supervision of conditioning program
8. Camp organization
9. Other duties as assigned by the head coach or athletic director

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

1. A lifestyle in agreement with the ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant.
2. Have an earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a GPA of no less than 2.75
3. Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
4. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills—not only with athletes, but with all interactions (coaches, administrative staff, fans, etc.).
5. A desire to seek a career in coaching.

Additional Information

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This person will report to work at our Bourbonnais campus. This position will showcase your skills on the job, as well as in the classroom.

24-month, Graduate Assistant. 28 hours per week.
