Bachelor’s degree (must apply and be accepted in one of many graduate programs at Sul Ross State University).

Have previous collegiate basketball experience either playing or coaching. Standard office machines; computer skills.

Preferred

Additional or other related experience. Knowledge of Synergy Sports Tech, word processing, database, and spreadsheet computer program skills.

institution located in Alpine, Texas, and a member of the American Southwest Conference, is currently seeking qualified applicants for a graduate assistant position in the department of athletics for women’s basketball.

Scope: The successful applicant will work closely with the Head Women’s Basketball Coach/

SWA

and Assistant Women’s Basketball coach. In this role, the successful applicant will be working closely with the student-athletes at

.

Duties

Essential: Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assist in practice and game planning and preparation; assist in recruiting prospective student-athletes; support of student-athlete success on the court and in the classroom; hospitality and travel management; help setup and teardown of game operations; and other duties as assigned.

Supervision

Received: Head Women’s Basketball Coach/

SWA

Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times. This position is security sensitive.

Texas Law requires a 60 day waiting period before new state employees are eligible to enroll in health insurance.
