Certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) or a comparable nationally accredited strength and conditioning certification (i.e. CSCCa, SCCC).
A minimum of two years of experience, preferably in a college setting working directly with student-athletes or comparable experience/ education.
A valid driver’s license, CPR and First Aid and AED for the Professional Rescuer certification are required.
Minimum Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in sports or a related field. Must demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, and Word. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also required. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds is an essential skill. Must be able to prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines with minimal supervision. Familiarity with NCAA Compliance Assistant, Front Rush, or related system is preferred.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Three years experience working with college-age athletes from a strength and conditioning perspective.
Three years experience with NCAA and CIAA policies.
