Lead the day-to-day financial analysis functions of the athletics business office, to include but not limited to financial modeling, variance analysis, dashboard development, and other ad-hoc initiatives to improve business decisions. Compile financial reports for athletics department decision-makers, including executive staff, sports administrators, coaches, and budget managers. Manage budget formation, logistics, and adherence to the annual operating and capital budgets. Work closely with Deputy AD/CFO and Athletics IT on the development and advancement of athletics data infrastructure for use in Power BI. May serve as a business office liaison for assigned sports and administrative departments.
Collaborate with Deputy AD/CFO and Player Personnel staff to ensure financial accountability in line with revenue sharing/cap management. Provide financial analysis for revenue sharing, including the presentation of ad-hoc analyses and other financial reports to appropriate personnel. Maintain an understanding of market trends, emerging software, revenue share rules, regulations, and NCAA/ACC Conference rules.
Develop and maintain a Business Office website to aid employee onboarding and increase operational efficiency across the athletics department. Utilize generative AI tools to improve business office workflow/processes, including the automation of tasks and identifying/recommending new efficiencies. Provide recommendations for expense mitigation and cost containment strategies, risk management, and other business optimization initiatives.
Maintain a firm grasp of all revenue sources, ensuring proper accounting and timeliness for receipts of revenues and provide regular updates and insights on revenue performance to departmental leadership. Create and manage the check deposit log and ensure all deposits are accurately recorded.
Work closely with external/revenue generating staff to develop various reconciliations and reports that drive incremental revenue and aid in resource development. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard revenue and ensure compliance with university policies.
Collaborate with Assistant AD, Business Operations on the preparation of documents for yearly financial statement audits, including but not limited to, NCAA/EADA Reports, ACC Financial Reports, FSUAA Reports.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
