Position Description:
The Multimedia Specialist I (Graphic Designer) serves as a member of the University of Louisville Athletic Department creative team. The responsibilities of this position include taking multimedia storytelling and graphics from concept to production to edit and completion. This includes graphical elements for social media as well as marketing materials and in-game assets (video boards, special events, etc.). This position reports to the Senior Graphic Designer.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce graphics for social media content for athletics production, athletic communications (gocards.com and social media accounts), and marketing/sales (video boards, promotional videos, special events, etc.).
Collaborate with Creative Services team, Graphic Designers, Photographers, Videographers and Motion Graphics to support projects for all 23 varsity sports.
Work together with Creative Services team on the development and maintenance of the athletic department style and brand guidelines that serve as the standard for all internal and external stakeholders on best practices when utilizing the UofL Athletics brand and when communicating visually from an official department platform.
Qualified Candidates Must: Have experience and be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Have an understanding of design, copy, and web best practices and guidelines. Have a strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts. Have the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Direct experience in managing projects in a fast-paced marketing or creative environment.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Goal and task oriented and possess exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Creative experience in collegiate or professional sports.
Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.
