Meredith College is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized individual to serve as the Office/Budget Manager (Admin II) for the Athletics Department. This essential role supports the financial and administrative operations of a dynamic NCAA Division III program that includes 12 varsity teams, 9 head coaches, 3 administrators, and 2 additional staff members. Under the guidance of the Athletic Director, the Office/Budget Manager is responsible for processing all the necessary departmental budget reports ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in alignment with college and NCAA policies.
Budget Management & Financial Operations:
- Manage and monitor nearly 100 individual budget lines within the College’s financial system.
- Reconcile and process over 20 departmental credit card reports on a monthly basis.
- Oversee the overall department budget, working closely with coaches and administrators to track expenditures, identify trends, and support fiscal planning.
- Create and submit detailed financial reports for the NCAA, ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines and standards.
- Submit reimbursement requests to the NCAA and follow through on disbursement processing.
- Deposit incoming checks and manage documentation for revenue.
- Process and pay departmental invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper allocation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial reports for the Director of Athletics and College administration.
Administrative Support:
- Coordinate transportation logistics for team travel, including booking vehicles and managing itineraries.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and supporting departmental communication.
- Provide direct administrative support to the Director of Athletics, including managing calendars, coordinating special projects, and maintaining records.

Qualifications:
- EITHER: High school diploma and a minimum of three years experience in a similar position. Experience in educational setting is preferred. OR: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Background in finance or business administration preferred.
- Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.
