Virginia Tech Athletics & the Hokie Club -
The Hokie Club is the fundraising arm of Virginia Tech Athletics and oversees the management and operation of premium seating and hospitality areas within Lane Stadium, Cassell Coliseum, and English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park. We provide any assistance necessary in the production and management of all game day operations. Additionally this role will help with the oversight, training and development of the Premium Hospitality Services Assistant program which offers Virginia Tech students a great opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and practical experience in many aspects of premium seating operations.
The Premium Seating Specialist will play a vital role in the success of the hospitality program serving patrons in our premium areas on game days in Blacksburg. As part of Virginia Tech Athletics Premium Seating team for the Virginia Tech Athletics Department and Hokie Club brand, this role will be primarily focused assisting in the execution and superior customer service in all assigned premium seating areas in an effort to enhance the fan experience during home games for football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, wrestling, baseball and other premium seating sponsored events as may be assigned.
This position requires a donor-centric mindset with both a strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through. There will be frequent contact with internal and external constituents providing information and assisting in the resolution of questions while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive donor information. There will also be face-to-face personal interaction with other VT Athletics personnel and premium seating patrons at Virginia Tech Athletics events and other Club events; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the athletics venues.
Duties:
• Assist the Director of Donor Experience with various game day tasks, operations planning, communication, organization and record keeping
• Demonstrate best in class standards including being meticulously accurate and anticipating constituent needs
• Conduct pre- and post-game checks of all premium seating areas of the VT Athletics Venues
• Greet and welcome Suite and Club level guests as they enter VT Athletics facilities.
• Resolve any service issues encountered by premium product guests on the Suite and Club levels.
• Assist with any special requests received from premium seating guests.
• Assist in any other service-related gameday duties as necessary or as may be assigned by the Assistant Director of Premium Seating Operations

• Assist in supervising the Premium Hospitality Assistants on gamedays

Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience working in fields such as public relations, communications, donor relations, special events or hospitality related field
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to think creatively in solving customer service issues
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as on an individual basis as situation dictates
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills for positive internal and external communications and interactions
• Ability to collaborate, identify and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to speak and write articulately, persuasively and with sensitivity to donor concerns
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate degree or higher degree in a related field and / or work experience(s) related to required qualifications
• Proven success in building productive relationships with senior administrators, key business leaders, faculty, staff, institutional boards, volunteers, and / or donors
