The Program Manager of Esports, Club and Community, is a full-time position that is directly responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the club and community side of the University of Mississippi Esports Program. This will include assisting in managing club teams, overseeing our facility and facility student workers, advising the club and its e-board, and to work closely with other parts of our university to grow our footprint on campus. This role will be reporting to the Director of Esports Programs.
This position is eligible for a set flexible schedule (outside normal business hours) based on competitions and facility use.

Supervise Club E-board: Oversee the activities and decisions of the esports club's executive board, providing support and guidance as needed. (10%)
Club Growth and Sustainability: Develop strategies to grow the esports club, increase membership, and ensure long-term sustainability. (10%)
Development of New Student Committees: Create and oversee student committees focused on various aspects of esports program development and management. (10%)
Maintain Operational Viability of Facility: Ensure the esports facility is well-maintained, functional, and compliant with regulations and standards. (10%)
Advise Club: Provide guidance and leadership to the esports club's executive board on matters related to club operations and development. (5%)

Adding New Games: Identify and introduce new esports titles to the club program, considering popularity, feasibility, and student interest. (5%)
Grade Checks: Monitor the academic progress of student-competitors to ensure they maintain eligibility requirements. (5%)
Manage Club Teams: Oversee the development and performance of club and community esports teams, providing coaching and support as needed. (5%)
Study Hall: Establish and oversee study hall sessions to support student-athletes in balancing academics and esports commitments. (5%)
Supervise Graduate Assistant: Direct and supervise graduate assistants supporting the esports program in various capacities. (5%)
Repairs and Structural Integrity: Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to the facility to ensure a safe and conducive environment for esports activities. (3%)
Connect with Alums: Maintain relationships with alumni of the esports program, leveraging their support and expertise for the benefit of current students. (3%)
Working With Advisors: Collaborate with academic advisors to support student-athletes' academic success and overall well-being. (3%)
Recruitment: Recruit talented players and staff to enhance the competitiveness and reputation of the club. (2%)
Keeping Up to Date with Law and Policy: Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and policies affecting esports and ensure compliance. (2%)
Outside Groups Using the Space: Coordinate with outside groups interested in using the esports facility, ensuring their needs are met while prioritizing the program's activities. (2%)
Stay Up to Date on Major Tech Happenings: Keep abreast of technological advancements in esports equipment, software, and trends to maintain a competitive edge. (2%)
Other Jobs as Assigned: Work with the Director of Esports Programs to accomplish goals to push the program forward. (2%)
In Charge When Director is Absent: Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the esports program director, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making. (1%)
Oversee and manage all aspects of the Club and Community portion of the program.
Work to maintain a functioning facility that is open to both competition and casual gamers.
Work to ensure eligibility and academic status of all students in the program.
Manage, evaluates and participating in processes and activities to support the esports program.
Provides guidance and supervision to support staff and student workers.
Responsible for traveling with the esports team to tournaments and other esports events.
Essential Functions

Minimum Education/Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
AND
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience related to the above described duties.
Substitution Statement:
Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human Resources.
