Working Title: Recruiting General Manager

Position Summary

Duke University is seeking a qualified candidate for the Recruiting General Manager position. This position will manage the recruiting staff and recruiting department for the Duke Football Program. The position is directly responsible for recruiting metrics, day to day recruiting operations, official and unofficial visit calendars and events and prospect management.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required.

· At least 2-3 years of experience of football operations and recruiting, preferably at the FBS Level

· A commitment to knowing and complying with NCAA, ACC, and institutional rules.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability

· Excellent written and oral skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

· Ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively.

· Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage time well and prioritize tasks

Essential Functions:

· Oversee all aspects of recruiting for the football program

· Serve as primary contact with the Athletic Compliance department with regards to NCAA rules, regulations, changes and education.

· Manage overall recruiting database for the football program.

· Maintain recruiting software, monitor the various recruiting services and analyze national recruiting trends for each position area.

· Oversee all on and off campus recruiting staff and events

· Prepare recruiting materials for coaching staff and team.

· Assist with camps & clinics.

· Ensure compliance with both national and university policies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

Experience

Work requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct OR ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE. program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience.
