Serves as an academic advisor for assigned student-athletes in Football and Olympic Sports. More specifically, duties include but are not limited to monitoring NCAA academic eligibility, academic advising, providing individualized academic support services, coordinating study table, and attending weekly coaches/oversight meetings to provide information related to student-athlete academic progress. Will also be responsible for providing academic progress updates to the Assistant Dean/Associate Athletics Director of SAAS, assigned coaching staff members, and athletics administration.
Assist with one or more administrative programs in SAAS. Responsible for keeping the Assistant Dean/Associate Athletics Director of SAAS, Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and appropriate athletics department staff informed about current and future needs to support SAAS and provide comprehensive academic advising and support programs for student-athletes.
Involved in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes which includes interaction with recruits and their families, coaches, faculty and staff members, and alumni.
Serve as liaison between Undergraduate Studies, Athletic Department, faculty, Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, and other Academic Departments. Has occasional contact with the media and officials from the ACC and NCAA. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and four years of experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Experience working with student-athletes by monitoring their academic progress and employment of educational strategies.
Experience in presenting educational workshops for student-athletes.
Experience with academic advising/oversight in a secondary or post-secondary setting.
Experience working independently and prioritizing work under deadlines.
Experience working with individuals from various academic, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Ability to supervise staff.
Ability to interpret and explain policies to students, parents, faculty, and staff.
Attention to detail and the highest standard of integrity are imperative.
Ability to deal with people calmly, confidently and with complete objectivity.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
