Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $2,916.67 per month

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director for Strategic Communications, this position will assist in directing all aspects of strategic communications, sports information, and media relations. This position will provide timely, creative, and accurate information to meet the needs of Bulldog fans, build campus and community interest, and tell compelling stories for assigned sports and individual student-athletes and coaches. Will prioritize all efforts related to the creation and implementation of comprehensive creative and digital communications strategies for assigned sports that focuses on optimizing and continually advancing a positive brand image and offers opportunities for fans and media members to engage with assigned sport programs. Will strive to set the standard among peer and aspirant institutions as it relates to the production and distribution of digital content with a primary focus on local, regional, and national exposure of assigned sport programs. There is an expectation to proactively and continually research, plan, and produce compelling storylines for assigned sports and Fresno State Athletics as a whole and to strategically distribute these compelling stories on all applicable platforms.
