Position Summary:
Sweet Briar College, a womenâs liberal arts college with a strong academic reputation and a commitment to excellence in athletics, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Strength and Conditioning Coach. This position is responsible for designing and implementing safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs for student-athletes across all varsity sports. The coach will work closely with coaches, athletic trainers, and student-athletes to enhance athletic performance while reducing injury risk.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and lead sport-specific strength and conditioning programs for all varsity athletic teams.
Instruct student-athletes on proper lifting techniques, conditioning, recovery, and injury prevention.
Collaborate with coaches and athletic trainers to customize programs based on sport demands and individual athlete needs.
Monitor and record progress of student-athletes and adjust training programs accordingly.
Supervise workouts in the weight room and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment.
Provide occasional educational programming related to nutrition, performance, and wellness.
Required:
Bachelorâs degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
Current certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Prior experience working with athletes in a strength and conditioning setting.
Strong communication, motivational, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
Masterâs degree in a related field.
Experience working in a collegiate athletics environment.
Understanding of the unique dynamics of a Division III athletics program.

Work Schedule & Compensation:
Approximately 10-12 hours per week, including mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends based on team needs.
This is a part-time position compensated with a stipend , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
