University Athletics

Job Summary

 

The Student Assistant will support the University Athletics as a Athletic Training Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2026. 

_ Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. _

Responsibilities

 

• Assists the certified athletic trainers with the daily field set up, break down and clean up
• Assists the certified athletic trainers in student athlete hydration needs that includes filling and refilling water bottles, setting up and cleaning the water bottles, and holding them and distributing them during practices/workouts
• Communicates effectively with certified athletic trainers anything mentioned to them by the student-athletes in regards to injury/illnesses
• Maintains confidentiality of student athlete health information and participation
• Helps maintain and clean the facility as necessary
• Complies with all rules and regulations set forth by the Sports Medicine staff, Georgia Southern University, Sun Belt Conference, and NCAA

Shift Specifics

• Up to 20 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• Able to work weekends, morning, nights, and/or holidays as needed

Required Qualifications

 

Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Proposed Salary

 

$7.25 per hour

_ This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis. _
