Position Description:

The Unit Specialist II (Assistant Director of Operation for External Relations) will provide financial and operational support to all outwards facing areas within the Athletic Department inclusive of: Marketing, Ticket Sales & Retention, Media Relations, Strategic Communications, and the Broadcast Center. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director of Fan Experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide operational and financial support to all External Relations areas within the Athletic Department.
• Lead purchasing, procard transaction reconciliation, supplies and equipment ordering, travel arrangements, expense reports, purchase orders, disbursements, budget and expense monitoring, maintenance requests for all External Relations areas within the Athletic Department.
• Lead contract renewals for External Relations areas within the Athletic Department with the Athletics Business Office.
• Marketing
  • Assist with operational support and preparation for assigned games and events.
  • Provide marketing support for assigned non-ticketed sports.
  • Provide football game day operational support.
  • Assist with all other marketing and game day operational support as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of Fan Experience.
• Ticket Sales & Retention:
  • Oversee and execute payment for all invoices for away and neutral site games, ACC and NCAA postseason games, technology software, and purchase orders over $4500.
  • Serve as a liaison for ticket distribution for various sports.
  • Assist with alumni check in for select football and men’s basketball games.
  • Assist with all other ticket sales and retention needs as assigned by Senior Associate Athletic Director/Chief Revenue Officer.
• Media Relations & Strategic Communications:
  • Provide operational support for the credentialling program.
  • Assist with all other Media Relations & Strategic Communications support as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director/Media Relations & Strategic Communications.

• Broadcast Center:

  • Manage all monthly freelance and temporary services invoice (approx. 90-100 monthly)
  • Assist with all other needs for the Broadcast Center as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of TV Production.

• Donation Requests: Serve as the lead contact for all athletic department donation requests, working in conjunction with compliance, equipment, and ticketing to ensure seamless execution of overall donation program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills; excellent customer service skills
