Women’s Basketball Graduate Assistant Coach

The Athletics Department at Southwestern College is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Graduate Assistant Coach for the Women’s Basketball program.

Position Description
Duties for position include assisting the head coach in all aspects of the program (practices, games, recruiting, conditioning, overseeing academics, coaching junior varsity, etc.). Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred.  Recruiting experience is encouraged but not required.  Good character & communication skills, self-motivation, and leadership skills are essential. Position compensated with graduate studies, housing, coaching & meal stipend. 

Position begins on August 1, 2025

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and admission into a Southwestern College graduate program
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Weekend and evening hours required
• Driver’s license required (personal vehicle preferred); CDL license preferred

• Stipend: $5,000/year 
• Meals: $1,500 ($750 flex meal plan per semester) 
• Tuition: Full tuition waiver 
• Housing: On-campus apartment
