The Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance will oversee all elements of the Olivet Nazarene University Athletic Department’s Eligibility and Compliance. This position will be responsible all student athlete eligibility certification, assist with financial aid tracking, and interpret NAIA and sport bylaws for the department to ensure compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete eligibility certification each semester for all student athletes.
Collaborate with the Registrar’s Office, the Faculty Athletics Representative, and other individuals/departments on campus to support student athletes and coaches with eligibility efforts.
Meet with students to assist with eligibility issues and creatively find solutions to improve their eligibility standing.
Track participation for all student athletes.
Direct rules education and character driven coaches trainings for coaches and staff.
Interpret NAIA and sport rules and policies.
Compile 24-week season schedules for all sports.
Manage transfer notifications and complete tracers.
Assist with tracking financial aid for all teams and act as a liaison with the admissions and financial aid offices.

Fulfill all scholarship award letters requested by coaches.
Organize self-reports and communication with the conference and/or NAIA.
Complete the annual ROA report for the NAIA.
Distribute class schedules, transcripts, midterm grades, and other student athlete academic information to coaches.
Assist the Sports Information Director with academic award nominations.
Assume game management responsibilities as needed.
Follow department and university guidelines for purchasing, reimbursements, travel, and maintenance of facilities.
Adhere to the athletic department logos, colors, and fonts.
Other Duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Previous experience in NAIA and/or NCAA eligibility and compliance.
Possess personal characteristics such as excellent communication skills, organization, problem solving skills, etc.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to lift equipment up to 30 pounds.

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred, and a minimum of two years of direct experience in collegiate athletics eligibility and compliance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an 11-month, full-time position and requires some evenings and weekend attendance.
