Drew University is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. This position reports directly to the Director of Sports Medicine and Performance. This is a 10-month position with benefits. Responsibilities include working weekdays, mornings, evenings, and weekends. Drew University sponsors 26 varsity sports and additional club sports.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide athletic training services which include but are not limited to initial injury evaluation, injury care, creating and overseeing therapy plans and post-surgical rehabilitation protocols, and conducting evaluation for return to play.

• Conduct baseline testing with athletes

• Attendance at scheduled team practices and home and away competitions as necessary.

• Effectively communicate with team physicians, coaches, and athletes to assure continuity of care.

• Attend education symposiums and meetings to assure professional development and fulfill continuing education requirements.

• Perform administrative duties as needed.

• Communicate effectively with the head athletic trainer daily regarding injury reports, rehabilitation updates, and athlete concerns.
