Purpose of the Position:

The Assistant Coach of Men's Lacrosse will assist the Head Lacrosse Coach in team management and administration and to reinforce the athletics department and university goals.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Recruit and evaluate quality student athletes

• Train and teach student-athletes both on and off of the field

• Help to Maintain compliance with NCAA departmental and University rules and regulations

• Assist in establishing game plans

• Scout opponents

• Coordinate Team Travel

• Assist in establishing game plans

• Scout opponents

• Coordinate Team Travel

• Maintain correspondence with recruits

• Assist with preparing the budget

• Assist with program fundraising efforts

• Coordinate film exchange

• Coordinate game day management for home and visiting teams

• Coordinate equipment purchase and maintenance

• Maintain positive public relationships with the university and community

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Must have coaching experience

• Must possess excellent communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a related field is preferred

• Knowledge of Sports Management is desired

• College coaching experience is preferred

Published Salary (if available):

$28,000 - $30,000
