Typical Education and Experience

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations or a related field plus work-related experience in communications or public relations is preferred.

Skills and Qualifications of this position include:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance is required.
• Considerable initiative, creativity, and independence.
• Experience supervising staff members and/or leadership experience within a communications department, preferably in a higher education and/or an athletically related environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, website content management systems, social media platforms, and Statcrew/NCAA Live Stats is preferred.

This position will require successful completion of standard background checks.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$46,400.00 - $67,300.00
