Olivet Nazarene University seeking applicants for the position of horizontal/vertical jumps coach. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional knowledge of training and development, strong leadership skills, successful recruiting, organization and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsibilities include but not limited to coaching the horizontal/vertical jumps.
2. Must be able to recruit successful & qualified student athletes that fit the universities mission
3. Assist with program lifting for the jumps group
4. Manage event group training tools and equipment
5. Work in alignment with track and field staff toward program goals
6. Other administrative duties of the Track and Field program as assigned by the Head Coach.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

1. A lifestyle in agreement with the ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant.
2. Possess successful experience as a horizontal/vertical jumps coach.
3. Proven organization and leadership skills.
4. Being able to mentor student athletes in their development.
5. Must be able to communicate effectively
6. Should be able to collaborate with other coaches to accomplish goals.
7. Assist with home meet management.
8. Knowledgeable on Long Jump, Triple Jump and High Jump.

Additional Information

EDUCATION

Earned Bachelor’s from an accredited institution required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Offices for the Track and Field staff are located in Perry Center. The indoor Track and Field venue has a mondo surface and is an 8 lane 200m flat. The Outdoor Track and Field venue is located at Ward Field. Travel will be required both in and out of season.
